sparky Paul Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 I've got four Sumo Firenzas in the shed ready to put on the Galaxy, when I get round to it... I read a few favourable reports in other forums on the net, and they do look a nicely made tyre. Quote
sparky Paul Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) It's an old thread, but I thought I'd let you know how I've got on with these tyres in case anyone is considering them. Well, there's nothing wrong with the driving aspect, they're grippy, very good in the wet, and seem to be wearing well. They seem a well made casing, and balanced easily. However, they are noisy... in fact they are very noisy... even worse than the Dunlops. Go over 40MPH and you start to hear a constant thrum from the tyres. I will endure them for now, but I can't really recommend these unless you're deaf. Edited August 23, 2008 by sparky Paul Quote
NikpV Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 cant really agree with the noise issue I reckon they are about the same as the dunlop 2020's - wear rate slightly better though Quote

If i am being honest most of my driving now is below 60 now so may be a cheap alternative for me , school run , dog run etc . Does anyone have an idea on price for a set of 4 and maybe a supplier in the south wales area if poss ?thanksmike.....p.s am actually running 2020's now and never really niticed any noise so maybe i am already deaf ?? The tread holds onto a lot of gravel too, which doesn't help. It's a shame though, they seem excellent tyres otherwise, and seem to be wearing well. IIRC I paid about Quote
projektzwo786 Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 i have used firenza on my M3not the best tyre in the wet but certainly worth its money Quote
zeplin43 Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 To avoid the noise let AC/DC take you for a ride. Quote
